Sunbeam

Now that Daxton is 3, he started Sunbeams! He is the youngest and he smallest in the class, but he is so excited to be there and loves learning about Joseph Smith. His little class is seriously the best class in Primary and sit there quietly with their arms folded during sharing time. Dang cute.

Bodie starts nursery in 2 weeks..... not that we are keeping track or anything!

LOVE these two handsome boys!

Christmas and New Years 2012

We had an AMAZING Christmas. This year we decided we wanted to stay home for the holiday. It was a really hard decision because being with family for Christmas brings so much fun and memories. We decided it is time for us to be home and start making our own memories, as hard as it is! We made sure to fill our time with lots of fun activities and good friends and family. It turned out to be one of my favorite Christmases.

Check out these handsome boys in their bow ties! I LOVE getting them all dressed up and dapper looking. I don't have a girl so they will just have to appreciate the fact that I get them all gussied up.

Santa came and brought new bikes! They have mostly been sitting for now so hopefully they get used once it warms up a little, which seems like it will NEVER happen!

Nana gave the boys this put-put golf set and it has been a blast!

The Christmas carnage.

We has my sister and some really great friends come over for Christmas dinner. It was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. Complete with crab legs and the best pies EVER.

Then, we headed to sunny St. George for New Years. It was sunny, but not warm.... at all! It is still fun to all be together.

I got to get some smooching time with my newest little niece, Jaymison. She is such a doll! Holy moly, I wish we lived closer to them.

We cut a rug as usual. The kids love this and could do it all day. The babies are old enough to join the fun now. Little Ty has some awesome moves!

Happy 2013! It is going to be a great year!

Daxton's 3rd birthday!

I am one day short of a month late posting about this, so that pretty much means I am RIGHT on schedule! I cannot believe my little baby is 3. I am not totally sold on the fact that getting older is good. I would freeze him right now, he is that precious. I love to see him grow into his personality and develop real interests and talents. For starters, he is such a loving little boy and has an amazing temperment (gets that from his dad). Sometimes when I get frustrated with him for some silly reason he will just come up and hug me or interupt me by saying, "Mama, I love you!" Then I melt with sweetness, forget why I was discipling him, and we move on with our day. So maybe, he is just smart! He has a way of calming us all with humor and sweetness. He is a wonderful big brother. I know it must be hard for him to always form to Bodie (who has a pretty demanding personality), but he does it with ease. He is so creative and funny! He makes us laugh every day.... a lot! His favorite things right now are cowboys, cows, horses, cowboy boots, roping, basketball, football, golf, shooting his toy guns, and shooting his bow and arrow. You should see his bow and arrow skills..... it would shock you how good he is! You would think he is a ranchers kid! Oh my sweet Daxton, we love you to bits and pieces. I wouldn't change a thing about you..... please always stay sweet and innocent.

Here he is playing with his cow hauler semi-truck. See, ranchers kid.

He begged for months for a Buzz party. So..... ask and you shall recieve.

Maddie and Ella are among his favorite people in the whole entire world.

The future world class hunter himself. He wants to be just like his dad, and it is dang cute! He CANNOT wait until I let him go hunting with dad.

"There's a snake in my boot!"

We love you little Buddy. Happy Birthday!

Little Snippets

I LOVE December. And I really extra love Christmas. I love what it is about, the Savior and his birth and life. I love that we make every excuse possible to spend time with family and good friends. I love giving and recieving gifts (yup, I sure do). I love teaching my little nuggets about it all and seeing it click. Bodie is too little to understand this year, but Daxton? He CANNOT get enough. He loves to talk about Baby Jesus and Santa and reindeer and Buddy (our Elf) etc. etc. It is so cute! This is Buddy's first year at our house and it has been pretty fun. He can find him within seconds of waking up and just laughs all day at the crazy stuff he does. It is going to be a fun little tradition.

My little boys clearly have a hard time in the genuine smile department.

Daxton went to his cousins princess birthday party at the beginning of the month. We didn't have a Prince Charming costume on hand so he decided he wanted to wear his Buzz costume. Fit RIGHT in! Okay, not really, but it was cute anyway.

And check out this treasure! Landon's work party had an ugly christmas sweater party theme this year. I knew who to ask right away.... my mother in law! She had this one from years ago, and get this, she has a matching toddlers girls one! Let's just say it was a smash hit!

While Bodie is still sleeping in the afternoon Daxton and I have been crafting. He is finally to the age where he can focus for longer than 5 seconds. Here he is making a polar bear for the letter P (but he think that every letter is G so sometimes I wonder why I even try!)

Here is Buddy roasting a marshmellow over a fire. He thinks that Buddy is HILARIOUS.... (little does he know it's his parents that are the knee slappers)

We went to visit the Reindeer at Thanksgiving Point. It has become a fun little tradition. I feel so bad for the poor reindeer all soaking wet and laying in the snow.... but I guess it is their natural habitat, right? The boys loved it as expected. They love anything with antlers, especially Daxton. Daxton has been so funny lately. He is obsessssssssssed with bucks, hunting, guns, roping, trucks, camping, etc. He carries this little buck around all over the house and can't wait to get a shotgun for his birthday! I kinda love it actually.

There is that RARE moment when you capture a good picture with a normal smile! These next two I actually caught right in a row and was so excited! I know.... the simple pleasures right? Well I was excited because my boys have smile issues (for the camera that is) so these pictures are treasures!!!!

MMMMM, these boys are SOOOO yummy. We love them and they are the light of our lives, truly. We hope you all have the best holiday season and remember the true meaning. Love you all!

Fall

So, because of my blogging slackerness this is a LONG post. Stay with me people!! We had such a fun fall. Last year we were in Hawaii for pretty much the whole month of October (I know, rough life right), well actually I really missed the fall and was glad to be home to enjoy it this year. Daxton is old enough this year to get excited about season and holidays so it was fun to pump it up for him. He was OBSESSED with riding ponies! Sometimes he can be so shy and then other times he suprises me and is so independent and outgoing. He would just walk right up to the pony and ride all by himself like he was this big tough boy (on a little tiny horse). So proud!

Okay, enough of the pumpkin farm pictures! Sheesh. Doesn't Bodie look so big and grown up! Well, he is! He went straight from crawling to running and is into EVERYTHING. We have our hands full with this little one, holy moly. He is the sweetest, cutest little guy one day and the next he can throw the mosterous tantrum ever. How fun! No really, he is wonderful. He is so fun and we love him to death.

Um, Daxton loves cucumbers. I just had to put this on here because it is hilarious! He eats carrots like this too. Weird child. Daxton is the cutest little boy, a little partial here, but really he is a heart melter. He is starting to say the funniest stuff! We love it. I will start writing them down and sharing them because he is a crack up.

Happy Halloween! Like a month and a half ago. Since Bodie didn't make any costume requests this year I decided to go with a theme. I know I will only be able to do a few more year, if that, so when Daxton was insistent about being Buzz Lightyear I went on a search for something else Toy Story. Well, baby Woody costumes are UGLY so we nixed that. Then I came across this little gem for Bodie. A baby Rex costume! They were the cutest! (Partial again).

Daxtons first snowman! This kid was PUMPED about the snow and building a snowman. He checked on it every day and was devastated when it melted.

Daxton has also been building temples with his blocks every chance he gets. Can't help but think that is pretty awesome.

Hope you all had a great fall and Thanksgiving. Maybe by New Years I will get around to Thanksgiving pictures. I might as well wish you all a Merry Christmas!
