Another Thanksgiving post!!!!

Well here is another one! We had such a blast with Landon's family and i hope they know how truly grateful we were to have them come and be with us for the holiday. They helped out so much and it turned out FABULOUS! Then of course we shopped till we dropped in true Sherwood style. We totally get into the black friday thing.. and let me say, i will never Christmas shop any other way. It is so the way to go! Utah women are a little more vicious (seriously???) and Megan and i got a bit ruffed up getting portable DVD players. Makes good memories right??We also went and saw the lights at Temple Square. The lights were great and all, but i remember there being tons more???? Anybody else agree??? It was still great.

This is our precious little Claudia... hope you don't mind Carly! This is how we caught her in the basement after Thanksgiving dinner. Nothing like running around in a cold, cement basement with all the boys to calm your full stomach! She is so dang CUTE but that gal would change her clothes 100 times a day or more! At least she tried to get some privacy by hiding in the "closet."

Thanks so much mom and dad for the food storage!!! Now somebody needs to teach me what to do with it all! That's a scary thought.

These are for you Terisha! Thanks for the tree Stanton and Carly. It is PERFECT for our house. And prelit trees really are a gift straight from Heaven. I love having Christmas decoration up... except the whole putting them up part. Merry Christmas everybody!

MIA

What's that you say? What have we been up to? I am sure that you are thinking," I wonder what Landon and Dana are up to?" for a majority of your day... RIGHT??!! I thought so. Well, this is what we have been up to................

We went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Worth a stop. Stanton and Carly (Brock, Claudia, and Estelle) all came to visit for the weekend.. yeah we got them all to ourselves and LOVED seeing them. Thanks for coming to visit us!

I inherited the piano that i grew up with... that had to have some serious work done on because we TRASHED it as kids! What? Here is the newest little player (Emrie, Noelle's little gal). What a cutie and already has some serious talent. :) I can't even tell you how excited i was to get this... a total dream come true. Mom and dad, i couldn't say thank you enough.

It was my honey buney's birthday! Happy 27th ya old man! This was his gift... and has he used it yet? Of course not, but he sure is proud of it. I sure love Landon... he's the best.

We went on a fall drive. Landon loves to go on drives and i just get car sick, but i agreed to this and it was great! So pretty. I LOVE fall and couldn't pass up seeing the colors.. so beautiful.

We went to Gardener's Village which i highly recommend! My whole family came down to visit to celebrate my little genius brothers graduation (way to go COLE! yipee) and we went and then Ashley and Kinsey came a few weeks later. Seriously, next time you drive through SLC take a pit stop, so great. I mean who can pass up a petting zoo and pony rides? I sure can't.... giddy up!

A little duckie came to vistit! Isn't she adorable.... that little smiley face. I did a little dressing up myself... i am Pebbles.... bone in hair and all. The gals i work with were feeling a little bit of the holiday spirit also. Princess Leia (sp??so not a star wars type of gal) and Daphne don't get better than that.

And finally, we have been working on the house. We got some rocks raked up, dirt leveled out, and trees planted. YEAH! I think that we are about done... don't you??? right. But, on the up side.. we love our new neighborhood and home! Come and visit any time you want! Mi casa su casa (didn't take spanish in HS).

Again, sorry i was MIA for so long. We LOVE having the internet back...i feel connected again and it sure is nice!

One more day of freedom

I bet you all can't WAIT!!! Tomorrow we are closing on the house! Does this mean that i have to be an adult now? hopefully not. This is pretty much it... it just has shutters now and few other finishing touches. It looks amazing... the tile is still ugly though. Landon's parents are coming this weekend to help us move and my parents are coming next week. Thanks parents... we love you!
Tiff.... this is for you. :)

So do you like my awesome orange vinyl tile??

So classy isn't it??? Okay, not so much. My beautiful house is almost done and they had to come along and RUIN it with this horrid stuff. And yes i know that it doesn't look that bad in the pic with the cabinets.. but that is because there is like a inch of saw dust toning it down. I just wanna cry. BUTTTT, the cabinets are almost done and looking awesome... so that made me feel a little better. And the rock outside is fabulous! They will put the color stucco on this week and make some finishing touches. Just a couple more weeks!!! YIPPEEEEEEE!!!

So this week Landon and I will be in Memphis... aka. the birthplace of rock and blues, also where I served my mission! My awesome parents are taking us and we are going to party with Zak, Noelle, and Emrie!! It's gonna be a party. See ya'll next week. Love, peace, and chicken grease. (that's what they all say in the south)

Memory Tag!!

OK, so i don't usually do stuff like this, so your comments better be good! :)

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.

Abandon Ship!

So we spent the 4th of July in Vallacito, CO (close to Durango, CO) at Landon's familys cabin. It is always such a party when we go there! We love it and some of our bestest memories are there. We had SUCH a blast and by the pics you might be able to tell what we did the WHOLE time there..... fish. We occasionally ate (thanks Grandma Jayne and Terisha) and rode 4 wheelers, but the majority of the time we fished our little hearts out.

The first day we were there we rented a pontoon boat and hit the glassy lake. For some reason i think that sunscreen is over rated....I am still peeling and look like i have leprosy (how about you Meg?)

The best was when my little nephew was driving the boat with his dad, Stanton (Landon's brother). He is OBSESSED with pirates. All of a sudden he is yelling "ABANDON SHIP." Well crap... that water is seriously cold. Needless to say, we are all ok and the ship made it safely back to shore without getting in the crazy cold water. We love you Brock!

Little Claudia is so cute. She is such a little daredevil and will try just about everything. What a cutie. When Uncle Landon, Papa Gregg, Stanton, and I returned from some serious fishing at the creek (which we caught a fish withing 5 seconds every time we put the line in the water... seriously) she wanted to pose with the fish. She would just barely hold the stick with 2 tiny little fingers and just giggle. Little precious.

I love this pic of Landon and his dad...

And last of all.... the casa. I can't believe how fast it is all coming together! We went yesterday and they are getting ready to stucco and inside they are done texturing the walls and getting ready for trim, doors, and paint! It all looks so great and i am getting a little anxious! We are taking donations... we will leave a jar on our front porch. jk!
